As part of the Life programme, Year 12 were asked to write a “Random Act of Kindness’ on a disc with words of wisdom from Year 12 on the other side. This was to enable Year 7’s to choose an act of kindness and perform it to another year 7 student or anyone within school as part of their homework for PSE in October, with the idea that a whole week of Year 7’s leading with random acts of kindness will make the whole school a happier place.
I had the pleasure of hanging the discs inside the beautiful baubles in the rain yesterday and in the sunshine today. The tree has already started working its magic, as I had many offers of help and stopped to chat to students that I hadn’t met before. Thank you particularly to Ollie and Rupert who offered their help in the rain.
Everyone enjoys reading the messages written by the Year 12’s and the tree is beautiful from now until the winter months when the snow sits on top of the baubles. We hope you get to visit the tree and read the cards inside, remember you don’t have to be in Year 7 to take part in random acts of kindness.
